DAY 2 ANTIGUA |

Antigua,
first capital of the Spaniards in Latin America. Wrought-iron balconies,
walls of stone, red brick roof tiles, manor houses, monasteries,
cobblestone streets, and native markets. Hotels housed in historical
buildings. And three towering volcanoes presiding over the city.

DAY 3 ANTIGUA - CHICHICASTENANGO - ATITLAN |
| Chichi,
the most famous Indian market of Central America: Hundreds of stalls
display colorful hand-woven textiles, hand-carved masks, small
nativities, jade works, musical instruments, wicker furniture. It is
time to put your bargain skills into practice! Also the church of Santo
Tomas, a true colonial gem built in 1540. In the afternoon we will

DAY 4 ATITLAN – GUATEMALA CITY |

Atitlan, which Aldous Huxley labeled as the most beautiful lake in the
world. Flanked by three spectacular volcanoes and surrounded by 12 small
Indian villages named after the apostles forming a scenery of incomparable
beauty. We will take a boat and explore the shores of the lake and

DAY 5 GUATEMALA CITY - TIKAL |

Tikal, once the most powerful city in the
Americas. Mayan skyscrapers reach out to the sky among a sea of green
foliage. More than 3,000 structures including temples, altars, pyramids,
and palaces. Jaguars, pumas, monkeys, deer, tapir, and anteaters roam
freely in the surrounding rain forest. More than 130 medicinal plants
and 300 orchids grow undisturbed. Bird watchers will enjoy more that 260
