DAY 1 BELIZE CITY - MARUBA

DAY 2 MARUBA

Tucked in the middle of the Belize jungle lies one of the best spas in the world. A world of relaxation and mystery. An oasis of manicured gardens, stone lined paths, and scents of hibiscus. Your masseuse picks you up and silently guides you to the treatment room. You enter a room lit with candles, filled with exotic incense and, in the center what appears as an altar draped with leopard patterned linens. It is time to slip under the
sheets and enjoy a massage of essential oils from the jungle. Or you may opt to visit the ancient Maya sites of Lamanai and Altun Ha or go horseback riding in the jungle. Services included today: Car rental; overnight accommodations; hotel taxes.

DAY 3 MARUBA – BELIZE CITY - CAYO DISTRICT

The Cayo District, cathedral-like forests, shimmering emerald rivers, caves, mountains,
cascading falls, and mighty ruins. DAYS 4/5 CAYO DISTRICT

Days at leisure. Suggested activities: Go horseback riding, canoeing the Macal River, or hiking in the jungle. Visit the nearby Mayan ruins of Xunantunich or El Pilar, cross the border and marvel at the imposing ruins of Tikal in Guatemala. Drive to the mesmerizing Mountain Pine Ridge National Park. DAY 6 – CAYO – BELIZE CITY - PLACENCIA

Drive back to Belize City and drop off your car at the airport. Then take the flight to Placencia to start your "southern experience". Placencia is a narrow peninsula slithering down the southern coast like a snake. The eastern shoreline is 15 miles of continuous sandy beach. A finger-shaped lagoon separates the peninsula from mainland on the western side. Small Creole and Garifuna communities with a laid-back attitude such as Placencia Village, Independence, and Seine Bight dot the peninsula. Services included
today: Car rental; one-way flight to Placencia; overnight accommodations at Nautical Inn or similar; hotel taxes.

DAY 7/8 PLACENCIA

Days at leisure. Suggested activities: Relax at the beach, enjoy the varied water sports in the area including snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing and sailing, take a boat excursion in the Monkey River, or visit the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, the world's first jaguar reserve. DAY 9 PLACENCIA – OUT

Services included today: Transfer to the airport; flight to the international airport in Belize City.
